VIMEO CLOSED MY CHANNEL

It was going to happen, I guess.
I'll try to see what I can do to bring back streaming of my edits back here.

For now you can find links to download most of them at: https://fanedit.info/

You can PM me at the fanedit.org forum to tell me directly if you can't find them.

Sorry for that, it was a good ride with Vimeo.

The Judas Breed (2010) - A fanedit of Mimic

This is a shorter version of Mimic by Guillermo Del Toro. This fanedit was first released in 2010. 15 minutes are cut, scenes are heavily reorganized in order to make the movie less scattered. Also, the ending is a little changed. New 2:35:1 aspect ratio, color a bit desaturated. Mimic is an okay movie from a great director. The story suffers from some obvious déja-vu feeling (Jurassic Park, Aliens…) but is descent enough to be entertaining. The directing is nice but the movie is too scattered for my taste. Always switching from scenes to scenes, letting the audience in the middle of plenty of little average cliffhangers. In other words, the movie drags a lot. Add to this a music score that always ends EACH scenes on a high note, in order to create a tension that is just not there and you end with a movie that has all the elements to be great but makes you cringe too many times. I tried to cut and reorganized scenes to make, hopefuly, a better progression of the story. For more details read the "Fanedits" section.

Star Wars Episode VII, Silent Edition, coming soon.

Hello there.
Almost ten years ago I started doing fanedits by making my Silent Edition of Star Wars Episode IV-V-VI, followed by I-II-II. Maybe you heard about those in the documentary "The People vs George Lucas". You can watch them on the "fanedits" page of this blog.
I found it fun to do the exact same thing with the actual trilogy. Starting soon with Episode VII Silent Edition (to watch as an appetizer before The Last Jedi!)
This will be released in glorious standard definition (the good old days!) only.
Stay tuned.

ALIEN-ATE is on Vimeo

This fanedit of Alien Resurrection was made in 2011 and is now streaming on Vmeo. You have to own the original movie to watch this fanedit. Please play the game ;) It is still the same story and events (mostly), but I think the new cuts make the whole thing go at a nice pace (I could have cut even more lines, as it is a very talkative movie, but 1h30 is short enough for an Alien movie, I feel). The ending is... let's say... different! Added footages: 2003 version: 4 minutes 30 seconds added. Alien vs Predator: 57 seconds. 18 shots with NEW special effects added: total 1 minute 27 seconds. behind the scene footage: 14 seconds added.
