CONSECUTION SIX - SHUT UP! has been released!

After some delay (but it's nothing new concerning those consecution projects), the sixth Consecution, names Shut Up! is finaly available.

Once again faneditors reunite to bring you several short fanedits following a specific theme.

This time the rules were:

My short fanedit is named "Death Tango" where I use Regarding Henry and Frantic to tell a little story with Harrison Ford as the main character.

COSMOGONY (early teaser)

Hello, I'm in the middle of the making of my new edit, and while it's far from being finished, I wanted to make a very early teaser for it.
Check it out.

COSMOGONY - In the making

I started a new fanedit (about 30 minutes in for now).
This project comes from a long way and i'm not 100% sure where it goes...
at any case it could end as a short edit if I don't have a lots of ideas during the making.

So, it all started during the process of finding a theme for the next Consecution project.
This project ended being "Shut Up!" Consecution, a series of several "silent" short edits (still to be released).
At one point I had an idea about making several short edits telling the history of men and planet earth.
Each shorts dealing with a different period of time. This is the basis of this fanedit.

It starts with the making of earth then follows the story of humankind using various movies.
Of course you can already guess what kind of movies I'm using for the begining.
It will be The Tree of Life - 2001 a Space odyssey - then it will go on with Quest for Fire,
then various movies like T.Malick's The New World, maybe Apocalypto, 1492,
then various historical movies leading to more recent periods of time.
All with new music and with the less talking possible. At least no talking about the main plot of each movies.
The movies should be used here to show events that would be part of the story of men, not just several little separate stories.

The begining is a given. It's when we move to recent history that it will be more complicated, IMO.
A purpose, a theme needs to be found for the edit to be meaningful and I hope to find it as I go in the making.
Plus I already made a 23 minutes musical edit dealing with underwater creatures, using various movies and docs
(still to be released) that could be seen as a compagnion piece of this edit or as the same kind of work.
I'd like "Cosmogony" to be different and a real project of its own.

Time will tell... (hey, that could also be a good title.)

Good summer vacations...

... for those who have some, that's it. (For me it's already done.)
I also took some months out of fanediting to prevent me from becoming completely mad! I have few little new project I'm working on but nothing advanced enough to be "officialy" annouced.

But my short edit (Death Tango) should be released next month on the sixth Consecution project (more info at Fanedit.org and soon here too).

I leave you with this picture of some girls and dudes watching Jaws: The Sharksploitation Edit on vacation. That made me smile.

The War of the Stars II is Fanedit of the Month!

Thanks to all the voters at fanedit.org, The War of the Stars II: The Future in Motion is fanedit of the month for April!
I am very glad that most people who liked the first one thought this sequel was worthy.
Took me about 6 months to do, with pretty much all my spare times put in it, and although I think a faneditor should make a fanedit for his own pleasure first, this award brings "warm feelings to my heart".

Problem solved

No more stuttering motion on IRON BLOOD.
The Marvel Consecution DVD is now as it should have been in first place.
Sorry for the mess.

Little problem on the Marvel Consecution DVD

The Marvel Consection DVD has a stuttering problem on my short edit IRON BLOOD when played with some PC players or Xbox. (some said it works fine with DVDfab though).
(other short fanedits of this DVD don't have this problem)
I'm in the process to clean the mess.
Sorry about that. A new clean version should be out very soon.

TWOTS II Cover art and updates.

Okay, I know. I make more or less always the same kind of cover art...
Let's say it's a style!

Updates:
Three pre-reviewers have seen my work so far and based on their feedbacks I think the edit works pretty well. I made some tiny changes to the "workprint" though.
Now I can start the making of the subtitles. (french and english).
The DVD will also include a 10 minutes long "before/after" slideshow about the 90 special effects added.
Stay tuned!

NEW TRAILER for TWOTS part 2.

Here is the new extended version of the first little trailer.
I'm not a "master of trailers" but this will give you an idea about the edit:

There is a good chance for this fanedit to be released at fanedit.info by the end of this month.

Q&A with SUPERGOOBER!

The UK production company SUPERGOOBER has a nice questions & answers article with me.
It all started last year when they saw my two "grindhouse" versions of Star Wars and Jaws and got hooked by the fanediting movement.
I want to thank Chris for making this happen.
It's nice to see that the interest for this art form is growing strong!

You can read the interview HERE.
(the videos could appear out of sync in certains countries)

And don't forget to watch the amazing work done by supergoober's directors!

Shut Up! Consecution

While I'm still working on The War of the Stars part 2, I decided to take part on the new "consecution" project at fanedit.org: "Shut Up!"
This time the goal is to make a series of short fanedits without using people talking (and without dialogue text cards).
My project is soon to be completed. (probably 10 minutes long).
It's a little mash up of "Regarding Henry" and "Frantic".

TWOTS II - Making

Few pictures from the making of The War Of The Stars Part 2, all taken from deleted scenes and
color corrected (the second one is from a black and white source) to match the GOUT (George's Original Untouched Trilogy, aka the letterboxed 2006 DVD "bonus").

Same picture from the original deleted (extended scene):
